Berry Season on Fogo Island
Winter & Pack Ice Season

February 1 - March 31

There are seven distinct seasons on Fogo Island: warm summers, snowy winters, a spectacular pack ice season, hopeful spring, trap berth inspired by the traditional fishery, and the world’s best berry picking in the early fall. Each of our seven seasons provides a different perspective for getting to know us, our island, and perhaps yourself.

All suites showcase the richness of their locality and clearly express a modern take on traditional Newfoundland outport design and décor. The Inn’s architecture is bold, optimistic, and distinctly of this place. Though radical in its design, the Inn exists in respectful conversation with the past.

Fogo Island Inn is a social business and a community asset. 100% of operating surpluses are reinvested in the community through the initiatives of Shorefast, a registered Canadian charity with the mandate to help secure a resilient cultural and economic future for Fogo Island.

Winter is coming. Visit the Events & Itineraries page to see what chilly happenings are planned at the Inn, contact reservations to book your stay or visit our Dispatches blog for cool inspiration.
