Discover the true meaning of splendid isolation on Fogo Island. From touchdown at the helipad a short drive from the Inn, your team will find invigoration from the raw beauty and drama of this island off an island at one of the four corners of the Earth. And when they set eyes on Fogo Island Inn an architectural wonder built collaboratively by local master artisans and international leading-edge designer—they'll know their retreat at this property will be a game-changer. In a place created by visionaries, you can only do your best work.

The second floor of the Inn was designed with groups and gatherings in mind. Our meeting room features floor-to-ceiling windows with astonishing views of sea and sky. It is perfectly suited for company meetings, weddings, and various other celebratory gatherings. This spacious and striking room includes a wood-burning fireplace, in-ceiling projection screen, ample seating, large wooden conference table, conference telephone, and all the support needed for business or personal gatherings. The meeting room also has a grand piano - for planned or impromptu musical interludes. The 37-seat state-of-the-art cinema and adjoining reading room complete the second floor spaces. The cinema doubles as a lecture theatre, and the reading room provides group seating and floor space suitable for both work and play.

Go Deep
Even on a foggy day, clarity is abundant here. A retreat at Fogo Island Inn is conducive to deep thinking and focus. Whether you're talking strategy in a meeting room flooded with natural light, letting creative ideas bubble up as you meander lichen-padded coastal trails, or "sleeping on it" in your handcrafted bed lulled by the sounds of the North Atlantic, you can anticipate powerful breakthroughs.

Go Wild
While city retreats pull teams in all directions, unity happens organically at Fogo Island Inn. You'll feast together on inspired dishes made with locally-sourced ingredients. Think fresh-from-the-boat cod and snow crab, wild caribou and saltwater lamb, root-cellar staples, sweet-tart berries, and garnishes of delicate foraged greens. There will be unstructured time for champagne, stargazing, and hot-tubbing on the rooftop, or for grabbing your binoculars to spot puffins, whales, and caribou. Community hosts will bring you into their world for cabin time in the woods, a seafood boil-up over an open fire, or a friendly hockey match. Island life is all about co-operation—where better to build team spirit?

Go for the Close
You and your team have gone to the end of the Earth to secure the deal. Now it's time for the ultimate closing dinner. In the Inn's award-winning dining room, floor-to-ceiling windows seamlessly immerse diners in ever-changing vistas year-round. Depending on Fogo Island's seven seasons, you might see drifting icebergs, breaching whales, formidable Atlantic storms, or heart-stopping sunset skies streaked tangerine and crimson as you dine and toast. Expect to be moved. But don't expect your team to ever forget.

Meeting Rooms

While the Inn features many spaces for meetings, our second floor meeting room affords the ideal setting for a myriad of gatherings with inspiring views. It offers sweeping views of the sky, shoreline, and North Atlantic, as well as a peek down into the dining room through its delicate handmade chandeliers. The seating is more than suitable for a long day of work, and there are plenty of neighbouring breakout spots for smaller groups. Step out onto the shoreline rocks for a breath of fresh air halfway through the day and return refreshed and ready to tackle any manner of challenges.

Our state-of-the-art conference space, with its ocean views and amenities, is a sought-after venue for professional getaways, executive retreats, weddings, and other celebratory gatherings. Our largest public area encompasses a 2,800 square feet on the Inn's ground floor. This space is home to The Fogo Island Contemporary Art Gallery, the Inn's dining room, lounge, and bar, and the intimate Dr. Leslie A. Harris Heritage Library which specializes in the literature of the local region. The 37-seat cinema doubles as a lecture theatre and provides a private presentation or meeting space. Our rooftop is the ideal setting for an evening cocktail or breakfast meeting with over 1,130 square feet of outdoor space, 380 of which is covered. The public areas of the Inn have six wood-burning fireplaces and stoves designed to create inviting hearths for quiet reading, contemplation, and relaxation, or as gathering places to enjoy the companionship of others.
